It’s doesn’t matter who is right or wrong but Education Minister Owen Nxumalo and Principal Secretary(PS) Nanikie Mnisi have publicly declared that they have resolved their differences, this is applaudable leadership.

Anyone therefore, who wish to see them fighting must tell us if the Nation is benefiting from such public squabbles because as far as I understand, emaSwati want service delivery.

Now as journalists, we want to write about the employment of teachers, delivery of food in schools and other services that seek to transform the eSwatini education system.

It is therefore commendable to see these public figures demonstrating leadership, one hopes they have learned because sometimes in leadership, you learn by mistakes.

But if the mistakes have elements of criminality, the law enforcement agencies are better positioned to deal with those allegations amid suspicion suggesting that, the PS and the Education Minister’s source of conflict involves money and/or two hundred and fifty thousand Rands(R250,000.00) paid as a bribe for the conversion of Bahai into a private school.

It is important to clarify that, at this juncture and personally, I don’t have any evidence to substantiate this allegation, maybe Nhlambeni Member of Parliament(MP) Manzi Zwane who raised this allegation in Parliament is in possession of evidence.

We must learn to criticize public figures based on substantive evidence, for now it’s a speculation and should evidence emerge, we will address the matter accordingly.

It is important therefore to state that, this country needs development and the Ministry of Education is a very critical institution because you cannot drive a national development agenda without strengthening education institutions.
