In Madagascar, there’s a new military President Col Michael Randrianirina after the ousting of Andry Rajoelina who failed to provide affordable water and electricity.

But in eSwatini, we have King Mswati’s mother-in-law Jabulile Mashwama, the Managing Director of the State owned Eswatini Water Services Corporation(EWSC) who is destroying the public entity while providing expensive water.

This basic natural resource is fast becoming a luxury and very soon, only the rich, powerful and politically connected will afford to drink safe,healthy or clean water.

Water is now expensive in this country at the time when the poverty situation is worsening but,it’s King Mswati who rewarded this woman to head such a very critical State company.

Judging from Jabulile Mashwama’s arrogance,I am starting to believe that maybe she is more than a mother-in-law of the Monarch but,the King’s alleged ‘girlfriend’.

But if that’s the case, King Mswati must know that this country belongs to emaSwati and we want clean and affordable water not the Jabulile Mashwana ‘nonsense’.

Jabulile Mashwama is a member of the Jesus Calls Worship Centre(JCWC), a highly connected religious cabal controlling some of the State institutions and stealing public funds, she is also part of a group of wealthy women in the country.

But Water Services Managing Director Jabulile Mashwama must know that currently, water, electricity and the shortage of drugs in public hospitals form part of the basic services that might, if not addressed as a matter of urgency, threaten peace and stability in this country or result to the people toppling the Monarchy.

Jabulile Mashwama must know that she is not Inkhosikati but the mother of Inkhosikati Siphelele LaMashwama,unless there’s something she wants to tell us that we don’t know.

Indeed, if she is becoming power-drunk by messing-up the State owned water company, then she must know that, she is playing with fire, scarcity of water might result to the people overthrowing the Monarchy and her ambitions of becoming a grandmother to a future King might be shattered.

We need affordable water in this country and we are not begging Jabulile Mashwama, this is a genuine demand for a basic service from a State owned company.

Water is a basic natural resource and you can’t provide expensive water in this country where about 70% of the population lives below the poverty line, the poor and under-privileged who hardly afford a decent meal normally drink water just to sustain the breath in their bodies.

But I blame King Mswati in all this, why did he deploy his mother-in-law to head such a very critical State company?.

Jabulile Mashwana is not doing anything there to provide affordable water to emaSwati but, she turned the State owned water company into a corruption ground for the politically connected JC syndicate.
