OPINION:Corrupt thieves next to King Mswati who claim to love the country but stealing public funds using the name of the Monarch.

Tuesday, 28th October, 2025

The alleged corrupt thieves next to King Mswati never get tired of reminding anyone who cares to listen that, they love the King and the country.

But the truth is; their proximity to Mswati enables them to abuse the name of the Monarch to steal public funds.

King’s Interpreter Sihle Dlamini is now owning Hotels and he allegedly used corrupt money to build those Hotels and Guest Houses because his salary cannot enable him to accumulate such properties.

Well, he can claim that he secured bank loans but, the cash deposits in his various bank accounts suggests that the King’s Interpreter is allegedly involved in money-laundering and corruption.

But apart from that, Sihle Dlamini’s companies normally secure tenders from the Ministry of Home Affairs, the multibillion International Convention Centre and Five Star Hotel(ICC and FISH) and other entities where Dlamini has influence, abusing his powers and proximity to King Mswati to enrich himself.

It should be noted that, these alleged corrupt thieves are very quick to identify those who hate the King and the country, to them stealing using the name of the Monarch is a demonstration of love for the country and the King.

Well, some political activists believe corruption must be attributed to Mswati but in my view, if we blame everything on the King, the corrupt thieves next to him will enjoy immunity and continue stealing public funds.

The alleged thieves next to the King are more dangerous such that, one day they might kill Mswati and seize power so that, they can continue stealing but, they always brainwash, pretending to love him while their conduct is setting the King against the people.

Stealing public funds undermines service delivery and the more Government fails to deliver social services amid corruption, the people will blame the King.

Therefore, a corrupt thief like Sihle Dlamini and his syndicate cannot claim to love the King, actually they hate the Monarchy and they will one day, seize power for personal gain or collapse the institution of the Monarchy.
