Commerce Minister Mancoba Khumalo meets Jonsson Workwear Head of Manufacturing Marnie Gerber, says project almost complete and will create jobs in line with national development agenda.

MBABANE:Mancoba Khumalo, the Minister of Commerce, Industry and Trade held a productive meeting with the Head of Manufacturing from Jonsson Workwear Marnie Gerber to receive an update on the progress of the construction of a new factory in eSwatini, Government online platforms reported on Monday.

It has been reported that, the “construction of the factory is now almost 100% complete” and that final touches are underway in preparation for operational readiness.

“The project continues to align with the national goal of boosting industrial development and job creation. The Ministry welcomes the significant investment made by Jonsson Workwear and remains committed to supporting the successful launch of operations, which is expected to create meaningful economic opportunities for the country,” reads the Government online report.
