BREAKING NEWS:Finance Minister Neal Rijikernberg announces R10,000.00 threshold for imported goods, decision to benefit informal traders and encourage voluntary declaration of goods to boost country’s SACU revenue.

MBABANE:Neal Rijikernberg, the Minister of Finance has announced a ten thousand Rands(R10,000.00) border goods declaration threshold, a decision that will promote voluntary declaration of goods to boost the country’s Southern African Development Community(SACU) revenue.

Speaking on his “Finance-in-Focus” online platform on Tuesday, the Finance Minister further encouraged voluntary declaration of goods adding that, emaSwati won’t be charged Value Added Tax(VAT) if the amount is below the R10,000.00 threshold.
