MBABANE:Businessman Zweli Welile Dlamini, a member of the People’s United Democratic Movement (PUDEMO) has been arrested for alleged unlawful possession of illegal guns and explosives.
Dlamini appeared in court this week facing terrorism, unlawful possession of guns, bullets and explosives charges.
When asked if Dlamini is a PUDEMO member, Secretary General Penuel Malinga confirmed that, “he is and remains” a member of the movement.
“But we are investigating the circumstances surrounding his arrest because police have a tendency of planting explosives within the premises of our members’ homes or houses just to arrest them. Dlamini is a businessman so the State is always against PUDEMO members running successful businesses. We are still investigating if it’s a genuine arrest or the explosives were planted,” said the PUDEMO Secretary General.

Businessman Zweli Welile Dlamini is facing terrorism charges.
