MBABANE:Wang Yi, the Chinese Foreign Minister has warned against foreign funding in support of it’s Taiwan Province after the United States (US) announced a $11.1billion arms deal for the self-ruled Island, Aljazeera reported on Sunday evening.
The warning comes amid escalating tension between China and Taiwan after China deployed war planes and other weapons when conducting military drills in what Taiwan described as unusual drills and a confirmation of China’s growing threat against Taiwan.
Eric Jiun-Yaw Haung from the Taiwan Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned what he described as China’s violation of international law and Taiwan Sovereignty.
Eswatini is Taiwan’s last diplomatic ally in Africa, other countries dumped the Island in recognition of the United Nations (UN) Resolution 2758 that recognized the “One China Principle” suggesting that, “there’s is but only one China” and that Taiwan is part of China.
