MBABANE:South African President Cyril Ramaphosa applauded and shook hands with Eswatini’s main liberation movement leader Mlungisi Makhanya for what he described as a great speech.
The President of the People’s United Democratic Movement (PUDEMO) addressed the South African Communist Party (SACP) Joe Slovo 31st Annual Commemoration in Soweto attended by the South African President on Tuesday, he urged all progressive organizations to stand in solidarity with Venezuela, and call for the release of President Maduro who was abducted by the United States President Donald Trump administration last week.
The PUDEMO President thanked President Ramaphosa and the South African Government for their solidarity with Palestine, Cuba, Western Sahara, Venezuela and other oppressed people of the world.
Makhanya told the gathering that, “the struggles of Venezuela for sovereignty and autonomy over their natural resources is intertwined with the struggles of the people of Palestine for independence and the struggles of the people of Eswatini for democracy”.
On another note, South African President Cyril Ramaphosa congratulated the PUDEMO President for what he described as a great speech and urged him to continue the noble fight for democracy and freedom in Eswatini.
