MBABANE:Liqoqo King’s Advisory Council member Isiah Mzuthini Ntshangase told the High Court that, he was the one who appointed Masiphula Ntshangase as Chief of Mkhwakhweni.
But after the Judge questioned him demanding to know “what authority does he have to appoint a Chief as such powers vests with Ingwenyama”, Mzuthini Ntshangase clarified that, he advised King Mswati to appoint the Chief otherwise, he wouldn’t have been appointed.
“Wabekwa yimi, sengingambangisa kanjani nje?. The King appointed him as per my recommendation”, said the Liqoqo member, a former Commissioner General of the Correctional Services.
Chief Masiphula Ntshangase was in court when Mzuthini Mtshangase testified before Judge Bongani ‘BS’ Dlamini, the Chief told the court that, Mzuthini Ntshangase was disrespecting him and that, he did not inform uMphakatsi that he will be hosting umtsimba this weekend.
This was during the court application filed by Mzuthini’s other wife Nothando Nhlengetfwa-Ntshangase on Friday, seeking to stop Mzuthini and Nokwazi Mkhwanazi from using her house at Mkhwakhweni when hosting their traditional wedding ceremony (umtsimba).
The court subsequently ruled that, umtsimba must go ahead at Mkhwakhweni.
