MBABANE:United States (US) President Donald Trump has imposed twenty-five percent (25%) trade tariff on countries doing business with the Islamic Republic of Iran.
This comes amid escalating tension between the US and Iran in the midst of deadly protests in Iran with Trump threatening to assist the civilians with military intervention.
“Effective immediately, any Country doing business with the Islamic Republic of Iran will pay a Tariff of 25% on any and all business being done with the United States of America. This order is final and conclusive,” said the US President when posting on his Truth Social Media account and quoted by FoxNews on Tuesday.
