MBABANE:Mancoba Khumalo, the Minister of Commerce, Industry and Trade has applauded Business Eswatini (BE) for what he described as the continued collaboration between giant and small businesses in the country.

Addressing the Business Eswatini Annual Reflection event on Wednesday at the BE Offices in Mbabane, the Commerce Minister further acknowledged the country’s achievements in improving the ease of doing business.

“Eswatini's business reforms have achieved a top 10 B-Ready ranking, a monumental accomplishment that signifies a highly favourable and efficient business environment within Eswatini. This exceptional recognition comes directly from the World Bank\'s Business Ready (B-READY) 2025 report, which has commendably ranked Eswatini as the 10th best-performing country in Africa for ease of doing business. This is a testament to our collective will, demonstrating our nation’s prowess as a leading reformer in improving the business environment across the continent. Eswatini’s strong performance stems from significant improvements in areas such as business registration, dispute resolution, trade facilitation, and enhanced digital services,” he said.

The Commerce Minister further commended the National Trade Facilitation Committee (NTFC) for what he described as outstanding and tireless efforts.

“Their unwavering dedication has been instrumental in ensuring the seamless flow of trade and investment throughout the Kingdom. We celebrate the success of our 24-hour borders with Lavumisa and Matsamo already on the radar for border extension hours,” said the Commerce Minister.
