MBABANE:United States President Donald Trump is dropping plans to add a ten percent (10%) tariff to goods from eight (8) European countries over their opposition to his push to acquire Greenland, the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) reported on Wednesday.
In a post on social media Trump said, he has “formed the framework of a future deal with respect to Greenland” after talks with North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO).
Earlier, the President ruled out using force to take over Greenland but said he was seeking immediate negotiations to acquire the island.
