MBABANE: Sihle Ndwandwe, the President of the Swazis First Democratic Front (SFDF) Youth League has confirmed challenges when trying to reach out to President Busie Mayisela but clarified that, “the political party is fully operating and never relied on donor funding”.

Responding to this Swaziland News on Monday evening amid reports suggesting that political organization temporarily halted operations, the SFDF Youth League President said, as members they only noted a shift in President Mayisela’s commitment from politics to business but, that did not affect the operations of the organization.

“We only noted a shift in President Mayisela’s commitment from politics to business but, this is an organization, she cannot just halt operations. The political party never relied on donor funding, we fund ourselves and if there are activities, we use our own money. We have been invited by the MultiStakeholder Forum for a meeting and we will be represented,” she said.

On another note, the SFDF Youth League President said, President Busie Mayisela cannot halt operations without a resolution from the other structures of the organization.

“That’s why we are only confirming that she has been away from activities of the political organization, focusing on her businesses. We know nothing about the reported halting of operations and donors because, we never secured any donor funding and the political organization has been functioning without donors. As PUDEMO Deputy President Wandile Dludlu said, a political party exists because of commitment by the members who fund themselves and attend activities not because of donors,” said the SFDF Youth League President.
