MBABANE: The United Eswatini Diaspora(UED) has congratulated former Siphofaneni MP Magawugawu Simelane for successfully launching the Swaziland Liberation Movement (SWALIMO).

In a statement sent to this publication, PUDEMO’s influential member Bonginkosi IB Dlamini who is part of the Diaspora said they were ready to work with the movement in pushing for a democratic Swaziland.

"We implore him to continue to work with every organization and individuals that seek to bring a new democratic Swaziland. We also pray that on return he will get the same warm reception from all pro democracy forces and their leaders", read the statement in part.

Meanwhile, Busie Mayisela , the National Chairperson of the newly formed SWALIMO urged Swazis to unite and fight for freedom.

"This government has failed, actually we can now see that we are orphans in our own country,no one cares and the situation is dire. Even if you can keep quiet hoping something better might happen, the question is, what is that would happen? When you are sitting  folding your arms and crying in your own corner, who will address these challenges? Fellow Swazis, here is SWALIMO today emerging as the voice of the people, demanding freedom for Swazis", said the  National Chairperson.

SWALIMO is a new political movement that was launched by former Siphofaneni MP Magawugawu Simelane on Saturday evening in order to intensify the struggle for democracy.
