MBOMBELA: Royal Leopards, a Royal Eswatini Police Football Club was on Sunday sneaked into Mbombela Stadium to honour its fixture against Orlando Pirates in the ongoing CAF Confederations Cup.
This comes after emaSwati living in neighbouring South Africa blocked the main gate leading to the stadium in protest against the killing of civilians by the police during the recent political unrest in Eswatini.
Speaking to this Swaziland News, IB Dlamini the Chief convenor of United Eswatini Diaspora (UED) said this showed that Swazis were more united than ever and they had travelled from three provinces to expose the illegitimate royal regime.
Dlamini said the CAF game was watched by millions of people around the world hence the commentary about the picket raised the awareness of what was happening in Swaziland.
\"The fact that the Swazi police killer squad had to use the\" back door\" to enter the stadium was proof enough that the picket troubled them. This will definitely affect the killer squads performance and we hope it shows by results,\"he said.
