MSWATI’S GOVERNOR ‘INTERCEPTED’ CELLPHONE CONVERSATIONS: State agents who bomb properties for political activists won’t be arrested.

MBABANE:Themba Ginindza, the Ludzidzini Palace Governor says State agents who bomb political activists and their properties won’t be arrested.

This is contained in ‘intercepted’ cellphone conversations where the Governor was discussing current issues and the plot to bomb properties belonging to political leaders.

“You won't be arrested if we know you are one of us, we will protect you,” said the Governor.

Ginindza further discussed and made reference to the case of Nkosinathi Twenty Dlamini, the Lomahasha police officer who shot and killed Mcolisi Sgubhu Nyoni and Mpostoli Masilela during the political unrest.

The Governor said the police officer who subsequently rushed to hide at Ludzidzini Royal Palace was on State duty when killing the civilians that’s why he was protected.

The King’s Governor then came hard on political activists,accusing them of being sponsored by foreign elements who were interested in influencing regime change to  benefit from the Kingdom of eSwatini’s mineral resources.

“But those foreign agents who are funding them will soon realize that this thing is not going to succeed and start withholding their money,” said the Governor.

While discussing this issue, Indvuna Ginindza is heard alerting the person he was speaking to that they must be careful not to discuss sensitive issues over the phone.

“Eish, we must stop discussing these issues over the phone, this is MTN and some of the MTN employees are on the side of the progressives,” said the Ludzidzini Governor.

A questionnaire was sent to the  Ludzidzini Governor, however, he had not responded at the time of compiling this report.

Part of the Governor’s intercepted’ cellphone conversations will be released to members of the public later on Tuesday.

As per the sentiments of Indvuna Themba Ginindza who earlier revealed that they were training a squad to burn political activists and their properties, on Tuesday morning, the home of Mlungisi Makhanya, the President of the People’s United Democratic Movement(PUDEMO) was bombed.

Reached for comments earlier on Tuesday,PUDEMO President Mlungisi Makhanya confirmed the burning of his home.He said to prove that the mission was sponsored by the State, electricity was switched-off.

“It’s true, they bombed my home but there’s nothing we can do, it’s part of the journey to democracy, mafutsa endlela,” said the PUDEMO President.

Police Spokesperson Superintendent Phindile Vilakati had not responded at the time of compiling this report.

PUDEMO National Organiser Panuel Malinga who rushed to Makhanya’s home said two bedrooms, a dining room and the kitchen were completely destroyed.

“I am here at the home of the President and we can confirm that two bedrooms, a dining room and the kitchen were completely destroyed,” said the PUDEMO National Organiser.
