Eswatini health workers praised as more COVID-19 patients discharged from hospital

MBABANE: Bheki Mamba, the President of the Swaziland Democratic Nurses Union (SWADNU) has commended the hard work demonstrated by nurses and doctors on ground as the number of COVID-19 patients who were discharged from hospital has increased.

This comes after Lizzie Nkosi, the Minister of Health Lizzie Nkosi announced that the number of recovered cases has almost doubled.

“We are also pleased to note that the number of recovered patients has almost doubled from 14 to 27, giving us hope that more patients will recover from the virus” said Minister Nkosi in a press statement on Sunday.

Reached for comments by this Swaziland News, the SWADNU President praised the health workers for such achievement but also appealed to companies particularly the private sector to continue donating money and equipment to strengthen the fight against the virus. 

“We want to congratulate all the nurses and doctors on the ground who directly deal with COVID19 patients. We take pride in their dedication and willingness to put their lives on the line serving the Nation. We also appeal to private sector and the business community to support the course through donations” he said.
