EMUSENI: Nozizwe Madonsela, the Secretary General (SG)of the Progressive Women Alliance of Swaziland (PWAS) has, on behalf of the organisation, released a statement, condemning the grabbing of land belonging from Nobuhle Nxumalo.
The women rights organization was reacting to a report published by this Swaziland News where Emseni Royal Kraal at eKutsimuleni, stands accused of grabbing land from the orphan.
“We would like to remind the traditional gatekeepers of Emuseni Royal Kraal that every citizen of the kingdom of Eswatini regardless of gender, marital status,race,age,political affiliation, creed has constitutional right to access land and use it to sustain his or her survival, to develop it in advancement of self, siblings and family. We call upon the Headman Rogers Mamba to exercise caution, integrity, honesty and fairness in matters of Land Appropriation in the Chiefdom and treat woman and orphans with dignity and respect. It remains the core business of Bandlancane to uphold the social welfare of citizens at the Chiefdom,” reads the statement in part released by the Secretary General of the Progressive Women Alliance of Swaziland.
