HOSEA: Chief Mlotja, of KaLiba Chiefdom under Hosea iNkhundla says, a community meeting would held this coming weekend, to address grievances raised by nominated aspiring Members of Parliament(MPs).
This comes after aspiring MPs, Tindvuna TeNkhundla and Bucopho, under Hosea Constituency allegedly invaded KaLiba uMphakatsi to report alleged plotted vote rigging, amid allegations suggesting that, one of the aspiring MPs under Lushini uMphakatsi bribed over four-hundred(400) Nhlangano textile workers to vote at Hosea.
Speaking to this Swaziland News on Tuesday evening, the Chief said,despite these allegations,the nomination exercise went very well.
"As KaLiba Chiefdom we are yet to address nominees, no official complaints have been laid yet.The nomination exercise went very well," said the KaLiba Chief.
On another note,Sifiso Shongwe,an aspiring MP under Hosea Inkhundla confirmed to this Swaziland News on Tuesday evening that, on Sunday afternoon, a group of nominated MPs, Tindvuna and Bucopho stormed Chief Mlotja’s uMphakatsi to report the attempted vote rigging allegations.
"We have reported the matter officially to Chief Mlotja.Elections should be free and fair.We will disrupt the elections once we discover that there are people voting here at KaLiba yet they belong to other Chiefdoms.We want transparency and order.The information we received about some aspiring MP bringing textile workers here, should be addressed decisively," said the aspiring MP.
