MBABANE:Percy Simelane,the King’s Spokesperson has clarified and dismissed speculations suggesting that, one of those interviewed by Panelists and members of the public might be appointed as the Prime Minister(PM) on the next few days.
Responding to this Swaziland News on Friday when asked to bring clarity to the speculations, the King’s Spokesperson maintained that, the Prime Minister will be announced by the King as per the provisions of the Constitution, he described those spreading such information as zombi sources.
“The Prime Minister is Constitutionally endorsed and announced only by the King and not rumour mongers.Our experience is that speculations have been part of such appointments by the King for decades.Some of those who kept on being listed by the vine as Prime Ministers are late now.They died before being appointed.To us this points to zombi sources.We have no reasons to think the King has already shared his pick with zombies”, said the King’s Spokesperson.
Paul Dlamini, the Chairman of the Liqoqo King’s Advisory Council and former Deputy Prime Minister, Supreme Court Judge Prince Chief Senzangakhona, Nkwene Member of Parliament(MP) Sikhumbuzo Dlamini,former Senate President Lindiwe Dlamini and Pension Fund Board Chairman Sammy Dlamini and others were interviewed during Sibaya.
