The convicted MPs were arrested after an order allegedly issued by King Mswati merely for demanding democratic reforms, they were subsequently assaulted inside prison on numerous occasions much against international human rights laws protecting prisoners.
Reached for comments,Mhlengi Mabuza, the lawyer who is part of the MPs legal team confirmed the meeting with the Judge.
“The intention is to explore all avenues for justice and we would not let the cat out of the bag for now Mlangeni but the meeting was fruitful for our clients, the government must know that the quest for justice will not end in Swazi Courts they must realise and reconcile themselves to what South Africa has done for the people of Palestine”, said the lawyer.
On another note, lawyer Sicelo Mngomezulu, the Head of the MPs legal team told this Swaziland News on Tuesday evening that, they won’t allow the eSwatini Government to get away with murder in the midst of injustice against the incarcerated MPs.
“Whilst the legal team has not discussed the facts or merits of our Clients' case with any judicial officer, we are indeed hard at work exploring all avenues at our disposal to secure justice for them, including, but not limited to, referring the case to international judicial institutions. We will not allow Swaziland's ruthless regime to get away with murder. Our Clients are innocent, their continued incarceration is an unforgivable miscarriage of justice which must not be left unchallenged,” said the Head of the MPs legal team.
