MBABANE: Vusumuzi ‘Major V’ Dlamini, the newly appointed King’s Advisor is now senior than Chief Justice Bheki Maphalala at least, according to the King’s salutation when addressing the Nation in his speeches.
The King normally starts with Indlovukazi(Queen Mother) emaKhosikati(his wives) BantfwabeNkhosi(members of the royal family), the Prime Minister, King’s Advisors,Chiefs, the Chief Justice and others.
This means ‘Major V’ who is now an Advisor to the Head of State,has been elevated to one of the highest positions in the land and/or the eSwatini political hierarchy, he will work with other loyalists that include former Deputy Prime Minister Paul Dlamini, Prince David, former Acting National Police Commissioner Lydia Dlamini and Prince Bandzile among others.
The appointments were announced by the King through Attorney General(AG) Sifiso MafeleNkhosini Khumalo on Saturday.
Worth-noting, the newly announced Governing Councils(emaBandla) seem to be more powerful and influential even more than Cabinet Ministers.
Eswatini has a dual system that include the Executive, Judiciary and the Legislature.
The country is also ruled through traditional structures that include emaBandla(Governing Councils).
