MANZINI:This past weekend was buzzing with excitement as three INSTACASH tournaments took center stage in Eswatini.
The INSTACASH Lubombo FA Cup - Central Zone tournament was played on Saturday, November 16, 2024 at Siphofaneni Sports Ground. Ngwenyaboya Football Club triumphed over Maphilingo with a thrilling 2-1 victory, securing the title of INSTACASH Lubombo Central Zone champions.
Sunday\'s double header saw two INSTACASH Manzini Independent League Cup tournaments played, with one at Gundvwini and another at Nhlambeni.
The former was played at Mayaluka Sports Ground in Gundvwini (not to be confused with Mayaluka Stadium in Big Bend), while Nhlambeni tournament was played at Masundvwini High School Sports Ground.
Lusikinyane FC emerged victorious, clinching the INSTACASH Gundvwini championship after a nail-biting penalty shootout against Gundvwini FC. The match ended 2-2 in regulation, but Lusikinyane held their nerve to win 3-1 on penalties.
Magumedzeni Fighters celebrated their championship win with a narrow 1-0 victory over Masundvwini FC, showcasing their tactical prowess and resilience.
All three champions were awarded prize money, brand new soccer kits, trophies and gold medals; while all runners up got prize money.
