South African police to strengthen security amid looming chaos ahead of highly anticipated Soweto Derby in Durban, Zulus complaining of being sidelined during tickets sale in favour of tourists.

MBABANE:The South African police in KwaZulu Natal will strengthen security ahead of the highly anticipated Soweto Derby in Durban on Saturday, KZN Deputy Police Commissioner Phumelele Makoba told journalists during a press conference on Friday.

This comes after some Zulus threatened to cause chaos, complaining that, they were sidelined during tickets sale in favour of tourists.

Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs will face off in the Nedbank Cup final at the Moses Mabhida Stadium and while the match is a sold-out affair, it has been reported that, the ticketing system generated an overselling of tickets leading to the refunding of more than ten thousand(10 000) fans and, sparking frustration among supporters.
