MBABANE:Khanya Mabuza, the Principal Secretary(PS) in the Ministry of Health has apologized to the Nation after the closure of the Mbabane Government Hospital amid shortage of drugs in public hospitals.
Addressing a press conference in Mbabane on Tuesday, the PS confirmed the challenges affecting the public health sector but warned against closing the hospital.
This comes after nurses and doctors engaged in a protest demanding the supply of drugs, the health workers said, they “have literally nothing” to use when treating the patients.
“Despite the challenges, it’s wrong to close a hospital”, said the PS.
