MBABANE:King Mswati’s private clothes that include a white gown decorated with his “MKIII” personal brand and sneakers were allegedly stolen at Nkoyoyo Palace by Inkhosikati Sibonelo Mngomezulu(LaMbikiza) in a level secret royal plot to kill the absolute Monarch.

Electronic evidence in our possession suggests that, LaMbikiza handed over the gown to his brother Ambassador Sibu Mngomezulu and, the Ambassador subsequently drove to hand it over to a high profile man who was positioned to take over the country, this was at the peak of the recent deadly 2021 political unrest.

The name of the high profile man cannot be revealed for now as more evidence is being collected linking him to plot to kill the King.

But the high profile man is allegedly linked to Army Commander Moses Mashikilisane Fakudze who at the time of the plot, was the senior Deputy Army Commander and even before the political unrest, Mashikilisane Fakudze who was the Deputy Army Commander allegedly colluded with Brigadier General Thembinkhosi Mngometulu to steal and hide guns amid a power struggle in the Army.

The disclosure regarding the disappearance of the guns was reported by this publication in 2020 and the then Deputy Army Commander Moses Mashikilisane Fakudze was leading a faction in the Army loyal to Inkhosikati LaMbikiza’s son Prince Lindani and seeking to oust Jeffrey Shabalala who was loyal to Mswati.

Recently,this independent online publication obtained documents from the Anti Corruption Commission(ACC), a whistleblower reported some soldiers who were tempering with the King’s jet so that it could explode in the air.

The whistleblower who shared the information through the ACC electronic systems alleged that, the soldiers were bribe to temper with the King’s jet but at this juncture, an investigation is being conducted by this publication to ascertain if this particular attempt was not broader plot by Army Commander and Nkoyoyo Palace syndicate.

But it has been disclosed that, Ambassador Sibu Mngometulu came-in to attend a meeting carrying a red paper bag that was containing the King’s white gown, white socks, white sneakers including “liduku” that was allegedly belonging to Inkhosikati Sibonelo LaMbikiza.

The electronic evidence further suggests that, the King’s white gown was taken to a Mozambican traditional healer and upon return, the man who was positioned to take over the country was to use it when going to sleep.

“I was surprised to discover that, the people close to the King want to sieze power”, said an insider who leaked the information.

Worth-noting, the high profile man who was positioned to grab power is not a member of the royal family but, commands huge influence in the governing structures of the country including the Army through Commander Moses Mashikilisane Fakudze.

It is alleged that, the meetings seeking to remove the King from the face of the earth and subsequently seize power, took place at Bahai and Mantenga Ezulwini among others and, in one of the meetings Attorney General(AG) Sifiso ‘Mashampu’ Khumalo was present.

Efforts to reach Ambassador Sibu Mngomezulu proved unsuccessful while both Army Commander Mashikilisane Fakudze, Inkhosikati LaMbikiza and Attorney General Sifiso Khumalo declined to comment about the matter.

Responding to this Swaziland News on Friday afternoon when asked to comment about the matter, King Mswati’s Spokesperson Percy Simelane said, he wouldn’t be surprised if there were people even within the Tinkhundla system who were taking advantage of the political unrest and attempted to seize power.

“Our Constitution has a Bill of Rights that includes freedom of association. So we would expect none Tinkhundla loyalists within the system to choose to cross the floor. It’s a political practice all over the world. In the absence of any indication their attempt was successfully, we will continue to believe they were just a drop in an ocean and that they know now  Eswatini’s would is not for sale. We are not surprised by the alleged attempt to take advantage of the 2021 unrest for self political gains.Every leadership system has a share of its own self-centered moles. Biblically, Jesus was crucified by priests he worked with and not drunkards from his neighbourhood,” said the King’s Spokesperson.

It has been disclosed that,LaMbikiza was plotting to take over as the next Indlovukazi(Queen Mother) and then, “elevate her son Prince Lindani to be the next King while the ‘mastermind’ remains the Prime Minister”.

But the electronic evidence further implicates other high profile people working closely with Mswati who were, behind his back, plotting against him.
