OPINION:Parliament must question Prime Minister about the health budget recently approved to purchase drugs, the solution is money not ‘useless’ and endless debates.

Parliament recently passed a national budget but no Member of Parliament(MP) is questioning Prime Minister Russell Mmiso Dlamini about the whereabouts of that money allocated to the Ministry of Health.

The health crisis is about shortage of drugs in public hospitals and, to address this crisis, Government must utilize public funds to purchase drugs for emaSwati and restore public confidence in the health system.

Furthermore, the State must arrest the suspects that include SwaziPharm Director Kareem Ashraff not this hypocritical and useless Parliament debates, we know the source of this problem and the solution.

A national budget was recently passed by the very same Parliament, let’s have the money to purchase drugs while we eagerly wait for the arrest of Kareem Ashraff.

These endless Parliament debates are fast becoming another waste of public funds, let’s give Health Minister Mduduzi Matsebula and Principal Secretary(PS) Khanya Mabuza the money appearing in the national budget to buy drugs.
