Dear editor.

I watched your BBC interview and I like your level of headiness.

The clarity provided by the Government regarding the issue of some criminal deported to the Kingdom of Eswatini on transit to their respective countries of origin is rather plausible.

Ordinarily, in many countries if not in all of them; the citizenry do not have the constitutional mandate or responsibility to initiate negotiations and implement bilateral treaties and cooperation agreements between their respective state and others.

This is the preserve of the Head of State which is normally executed through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.Hence, all bilateral treaties and cooperation agreements are negotiated, concluded and signed up by same.

Agreements are usually based upon mutual interests and mutual respect, not on intimidation or on the scale of the diplomatic "Big-Brother" attitude or supervision.

We elected a Government more a year ago, and we should expect and trust that they did diligence in this arrangement and it is in best interest of our country.
