The case was reported at Lobamba Police Station but, sources within the law enforcement agency told this Swaziland News that, Asamoah “allegedly used his political influence and financial muscle to sabotage investigations and evade justice or prosecution.

It has been disclosed that,in the process, the alleged Ghanaian businessman used Finance Minister Neal Rijikernberg’s name in his efforts to sabotage the investigations saying, he was about to launch a multimillion project with the Montigny Director hence his arrest will undermine the investments.

But Finance Minister’s Spokesperson Sihle Mavuso when responding to this publication, vigorously distanced Neal Rijikernberg from any dealings with the alleged Ghanaian businessman.

“The Finance Minister does not have any links or business dealings with him, I have asked even Andrew if he knows him, we have no links whatsoever with him”, said the Montigny Investments Spokesperson.

Reached for comments, Philani Maswati Chairman Lutfo Dlamini confirmed receiving the R100,000.00 donation from a company owned by the alleged Ghanaian businessman but said, he was not aware of his private life and the current rape allegations against him.

“The Directors of ECFATUM International have pledged and donated towards the Eswatini Biggest Braai, represented by the Chairman and Vice Chairperson. This was after we wrote to companies requesting for donations.We are grateful for such a gesture from the company”, said the Philani Maswati Chairman.

This publication managed to interview the alleged victim who reported the businessman to the police, she only confirmed the matter but declined to share further details.

“I can only confirm reporting the matter to the police and I can’t share further details as the police are handling the case,” said the alleged victim.

The alleged Ghanian businessman had not responded at the time of compiling this report.

Police sources within the Lobamba Police Station further told this publication that, the criminal investigation file was subsequently grabbed by senior police officers but Police Spokesperson Senior Superintendent Phindile Vilakati declined to comment.

Worth-noting, even before this case, this publication received information from sources, accusing Asamoah of sexually abusing even school children including boys and girls.

A preliminary investigation conducted by this Swaziland News subsequently uncovered that, Asamoah has been accused of sexually molesting boys for the past twenty(20) years without being arrested, he was previously residing in the outskirts of Manzini.

It is alleged that, Asamoah arrived in the country as a Nigerian but later changed and used a Ghananian passport.
