REVEALED:Home Affairs Systems exposes how Assistant Regional Registrar Nonhlanhla Malambe allegedly assisted South African politically connected businessman Vusimuzi ‘Cat’ Matlala to obtain fraudulent eSwatini ID.

MBABANE:Nonhlanhla Malambe, the Assistant Regional Civil Registrar is allegedly the senior Ministry of Home Affairs Officer behind the alleged fraudulent registration of South African politically connected businessman Vusimuzi ‘Cat’ Matlala’s eSwatini Identity Document(ID).

A high level investigation conducted by this Swaziland News uncovered that at first, Malambe allegedly abused her powers and manipulated the Home Affairs Registrar of Birth and Death Certificates to create a fraudulent Birth Certificate for Matlala, she registered Matlala as “Vusimuzi Dlamini of Motshane in the Hhohho Region.

Worth-nothing, the Registrar of Births and Death Certificates Home Affairs System is linked to the Identity Documents Registration System and as a result, Malambe allegedly went on to create an ID for Matlala fraudulently, linking him as the second born child of Gogo Christinah Thembi Shongwe of Motshane.

But some of the documents that form part of the fraudulent ID suggest that, Vusimuzi Cat’ Matlala did not personally visit eSwatini to sign but, the Identity Document was fraudulently created allegedly, by the senior Home Affairs Officer remotely.

Nonhlanhla Malambe, the senior Home Affairs Officer avoided questions when asked by this publication on Monday morning to comment about the alleged fraudulent ID.

On another note, eSwatini Police National Commissioner Vusi Manoma Masango recently confirmed to the media, the police are highly expected to intensify investigation into the registration of Vusimuzi ‘Cat’ Matlala’s alleged fraudulent ID registration.

Matlala is the businessman who was recently exposed by KwaZulu Natal(KZN) Provincial Commissioner Lieutenant General Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi for allegedly being part of a powerful political syndicate with alleged links to a dangerous drug cartel.

Lieutenant General Mkhwanazi went on to link Police Minister Senzo Mchunu and Deputy National Commissioner Shadrack Sibiya to the syndicate that was allegedly interfering with the constitutional mandate of the South African Police to fight crime.

As a result, South African President Cyril Ramaphosa appointed a Commission of Inquiry to investigate the allegations.
