MBABANE:Army Commander Moses Mashikilisane Fakudze has refused to declare the number of his cattle as instructed by Ministry of Defense and State Security Principal Secretary(PS) Prince Sicalo.
The Army Commander disclosed this when speaking to senior Commanders during a recent meeting at the Army Headquarters-Nokwane, he told them that “he has resolved the issues reported by this publication with BakaNgwane” and those who were against him will regret.
“Sengilungisile neBakaNgwane, sengibuyile emandleni, i-pen ilakimi manje ngiyacasha ngiyacosha, lana ngiyawuhamba nga-2029. Laba-ke labahamba bangikhuluma baphindze bahlale ngami le-Ministry batawu-promothwa ngule-Ministry yabo(meaning:I am in charge now, we have resolved the issues with royalty and I am the one now who is holding the pen, hiring and dismissing soldiers, I am back in power and will leave in 2029. Those who approached the Ministry to badmouth me, will be promoted by their Ministry”, said the Army Commander during the meeting.
But after the meeting, the Army Commander was heard speaking in the corridors with another soldier, accusing PS Prince Sicalo of forcing him to declare the number of his cattle.
This comes after this Swaziland News reported that, the Army Commander was owning over two hundred cattle(200) being alleged proceeds of bribes paid by emaSwati seeking jobs in the Army and officials who were subsequently promoted.
“Ngeke ngitjelwe ngumfana mine”, said the Army Commander when referring to Defense PS Prince Sicalo, he declined to comment when reached by this publication.
On another note, the Army Commander is at loggerheads with other members of the Army Executive Command on allegations of fraud and corruption including abuse of power and bullying senior Commanders.
