Police block NNLC President from entering the High Court to support incarcerated pro-democracy MPs.

MBABANE: Sibongile Mazibuko, the President of the Ngwane National Liberatory Congress (NNLC) was on Monday blocked by King Mswati's police from entering the High Court where she was to support the incarcerated pro democracy MPs in Bacede Mabuza and Mthandeni Dube.

Speaking to this Swaziland News, the NNLC President said she was told her name was not on the list of the MPs visitors.

This is not shocking, this is a sign that they were working on an order that I should be blocked from interacting with the MPs.Bacede once told me that they appreciated my presence in court", said the NNLC President.

Police Spokesperson,Phindile Vilakati had not responded to our questionnaire at the time of compiling this report.

Pro-democracy MPs in Bacede Mabuza and Mthandeni Dube today appeared before High Court Judge Doris Tshabalala, they want the court to compel the registrar of the Supreme Court to enroll their urgent bail appeal .Judge Tshabalala said she would deliver judgement on the matter on 29 December 2021.
