BUHLENI: Sabelo Tfumbatsi, the Commander of the Big-Bend Correctional Services has confirmed the petrol bombing of his home.
It has been disclosed that the home is situated at Siganganyaneni, Nyakatfo along the road to Mphofu High School.
Responding to questions from this Swaziland News after being approached to confirm the incident, the Correctional Serviced boss said his home was petrol bombed in the early hours on Friday.
“It’s true, my home was petrol bombed in the early hours today(Friday),” he said.
A questionnaire was sent to Police Spokesperson Superintendent Phindile Vilakati, however, she had not responded at the time of compiling this report.
Reached for comments, the female Commander of the pro-democracy Swaziland International Solidarity Forces(SISF) confirmed knowledge of the operation.
“Yes, we are aware of that operation,” said the female Commander.
Eswatini is in the midst of a political unrest, Warders recently assaulted and almost killed incarcerated pro-democracy Members of Parliament Bacede Mabuza and Mthandeni Dube.
The MPs were arrested for demanding democratic reforms after an order allegedly issued by King Mswati, they are facing politically motivated terrorism charges.
