MBABANE: Deceased top lawyer Lindifa Mamba was a member of the Ngwane National Liberatory Congress(NNLC) and was pushing for the country to adopt democratic reforms, it has been disclosed.

As a result, Sibongile Mazibuko, the NNLC President was given a platform to speak on behalf of the political organisation during the lawyer's memorial service that was held at the Worship Centre in Mbabane on Saturday, she heavily criticised government over the collapsed health system.

"Mamba complained about lack of oxygen before he died and it's clear that Prime Minister Ambrose Dlamini was airlifted to South Africa for advanced medical care while others were left to die" she said.

Mazibuko described the late top lawyer as a humble person who was eager to see democracy in the country and was supportive of her leadership as the President.

"He was humble but very clear about the challenges facing the country, I cannot hide that he went out of his way to make sure democracy is achieved in the country, he was not relaxed particularly because he knew that over 65% of Swazis do not know where to get the next meal" she said.

The NNLC President further expressed serious concerns about the conduct of  King Mswati whom he said was grabbing everything in the country including businesses ,she said what is currently happening in the country cannot be defined as democracy.

Lawyer Lindifa Mamba who handled several high profile cases in the country died this week allegedly due to COVID-19, he was admitted at the Lubombo Referral Hospital.
