MBABANE:Dr. Rose Mwebaza,the United Nations Environment Programe (UNEP) Africa Office Director and Regional Representative met Prime Minister Russell Mmiso Dlamini on Monday to discuss among others, the country’s environmental programs including the ongoing transformation into a green economy.
A green economy is an economic model that aims to reduce environmental risks while promoting sustainable development.
This is part of the UN Sustainable Development Goals(SDGs) Agenda 2030 and, based on the idea that economic growth can be achieved while protecting natural resources and/or the environment.
The delegation that met the PM was led by UN Eswatini Resident Representative George Wachira.
