MBABANE:Vusi Manoma Masango, the National Commissioner of Police stopped a salary increment meeting with the Ministry of Public Service after learning that Sergeant Dumsile Khumalo, the Secretary General of the Royal Eswatini Police Staff Association(REPOSA) will participate.
The National Commissioner had assembled his own worker’s representatives but, junior police officers insisted that, they want their representive Sergeant Khumalo, to represent them during the meeting that took place at Hilton Hotel-Mbabane on Friday.
But upon arrival, the National Commissioner said he can’t proceed in the presence of Khumalo and ordered that, the meeting must be held at the Police Headquarters where he will have powers to block Sergeant Khumalo.
It is alleged that, the National Commissioner “wants to sign an agreement allowing Government to increase salaries from Inspector and sideline all the junior officers again”.
